We are thrilled to offer six exciting specialty day camp options for summer 2019!
What are specialty camps?
Ramah Nyack specialty camps are unique, one-week programs for children entering 3rd-9th grades* that provide specialized instruction with the best of the Ramah camping experience. Choose one or more specialty camp options either as part of a Ramah Nyack package or as a standalone experience.

Where do specialty camps take place?
All specialty camps take place at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack.
Below are the different specialty camp options:
Ramah Cooking
Monday, July 1 – Friday, July 5, 2019*
Campers will cook up tasty and healthy creations which they will plate, serve, and enjoy each day. They will also learn cooking techniques, menu planning, utensil skills, kitchen safety, and kashrut.
*There is no camp on Thursday, July 4th.
Ramah Performs
Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12, 2019
An intensive theater and performing arts program in a fun, supportive environment, featuring interactive workshops with drama coaches in acting, improvisation, singing, dancing, and theater games. Campers create and perform in a culminating theater production at the end of the week.
Ramah Tech
Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19, 2019
Campers will enjoy an intensive experience exploring robotics, coding, and video game design. Using programs such as Scratch and Makey Makey, children learn how to code computer programs including video games, animations, and interactive stories.

Ramah Outdoors (entering 4th-9th grades)
Monday, July 22 – Friday, July 26, 2019 (with overnight camping trip)
An outdoor adventure experience featuring hiking, trail exploration, wilderness survival, food education, and more. Campers will have the chance to challenge personal physical limits on an overnight camping trip in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Ramah Sport
Monday, July 29 – Friday, August 2, 2019
Exceptional sports instruction with expert coaches. Campers will participate in drills, instruction, and competitive play in baseball, basketball, soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, and more, with a choice of a core sport and an elective sport.
Ramah Fine Arts
Monday, August 5 – Friday, August 9, 2019**
Campers will explore their inner artists! A new addition to our specialty camp program, campers will use various artistic mediums, including watercolor, clay, and pastels, to express their creativity. Throughout the week they will be inspired by Israeli artists as they create their own unique masterpieces and works of art.
