Prospective Families
It’s been an alifut first week for Nevatimers! We’ve been learning about each other and learning our way around camp. Some of us went to bishul bachutz (outdoor cooking) while others explored the low ropes course. We all had a chance to swim, play sports and dance on the migrash. And campers loved learning the Nevatim cheers!
It’s been an alifut first week in Shorashim getting to know each other. The campers had a great time in the swimming pool and learning their way around the camp. We danced and played sports. And while some of us tried the low rope course, others got a taste of the bishul bachutz (outdoor cooking). We even started practicing our song for Zimriyah! We’re all looking forward to another week of fun and exploration together!
Nitzanim campers spent an amazing first week getting to know each other. Everyone had a chance to swim and play sports – from softball and tennis to soccer and archery. Some of us crafted with beads or in our art room while others tried woodworking and ceramics. We’re excited to see where next week takes us, including rehearsing for Zimriyah in week 3!
It’s been an alifut first week of camp getting to know one another. Many of us enjoyed etz (woodworking) and bishul (cooking). Other chanichim (campers) played basketball and soccer, while some tried archery or ceramics. And everyone got a great to start to the summer by swimming in the breicha (pool). Chanichim chose their bechirot (electives), and we even began learning our Zimriyah songs!
This has been an alifut first week of camp! From migdal to robotics, from the migrash to the swimming pool, Bogrimers enjoyed time reuniting with old friends and meeting new friends. We chose bechirot (electives) and started preparing our songs for Zimriyah. Our summer is off to a great start, and we’re looking forward to week 2!
Sha’ar
We’ve had a sababa (awesome) start to the summer welcoming everyone to Sha’ar and the chanichim (campers) are already using our milat hakayitz (word of the summer), alifut (excellence, championship), to describe their first days at camp!
Our madrichim (counselors) from Israel are speaking to them exclusively in Hebrew and exploring all of our areas in camp! They are staying cool by drinking mayim (water) from their bakbookim (water bottles), and swimming twice a day in the breicha (pool). They are also getting used to the lunchtime vocabulary: Ani rotza maklot dag (I want fish sticks), and chanting fun cheers to identify the brachot (blessings) we say for each food. This week has been full of all the exciting activities camp has to offer and we are already hearing Hebrew words from all chanichei Sha’ar (Sha’ar campers)- from our seasoned oldest campers in Nevonim down to our youngest Sha’ar edah, Kochavim.
