Statement of Welcome

At Ramah Day Camp in Nyack, we strive to create a climate of purposeful inclusion to support all individuals and honor the diversity of Jewish life. Our goal is to foster a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where everyone in our community — from chanichim (campers) and tzevet (staff), to family members, visitors and alumni — feels valued, cared for, and celebrated for who they are. Our community reflects the diversity of the Jewish people, and we value the unique differences and experiences which create the fabric of our kehilah kedosha (sacred community). We embrace the diversity of race and ethnicity, national origin, age, gender identity and its expression, sexual orientation, family composition, range of ability, financial means, and political perspectives.
